Welcome to Connections Child and Family Counseling Services and Consultation! I am Wendy Helker, PhD,  Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified School Counselor(TX)  and Registered Trainer with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System. I am also a Certified Child Centered Play Therapy Supervisor and Certified Child Parent Relationship Therapy Supervisor. As an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant I provide consultation and training services that inform and support those who work with and care for children in an early childhood education setting. I am especially focused on assisting early childhood educators in building developmentally appropriate, trauma informed campuses that address the social, behavioral, and emotional health needs of young children. I provide direct school based services to teachers and staff and parents and caregivers on campus or at my office in Lewisville, TX.  I also provide professional clinical supervision for Licensed Professional Counselor Associates seeking full licensure and play therapists seeking the Registered Play Therapist credential.
